This filter can also treat corrupted scan lines, spots, dots, and other video maladies. In addition, Neat Video features a filter that targets specific imperfections such as film scratches, film dust, impulse interference and similar defects. The spatial noise filter reduces noise elements even further on a frame-by-frame basis across a range of frequencies and color channels. This allows the filter to more accurately distinguish between noise and detail in order to reduce noise and artifacts. Neat Video’s advanced temporal noise filter analyzes and compares a range of consecutive frames in order to gain as much information as possible. Neat Video’s more advanced, more efficient approach allows it to draw a clearer distinction between random noise and details in video data, enabling it to reduce more noise and better preserve true details. Neat Video’s noise reduction algorithms surpass the quality of all classic noise reduction methods - even relatively new wavelet-based methods. The updated version of Neat Video 5.5.9 is now ready for use. We would like to thank Neat Video users who volunteered to test the beta version of the optimized plug-in. Beta-tests have demonstrated speed increases up to 4.0x as compared with the CPU-only mode used on the node machines by the previous versions of the plug-in. The speed up on Baselight TWO/X is usually even higher as it is mostly determined by the GPU of the node machine. The result is that Neat Video can now run about 1.3x–1.9x faster on Baselight ONE machines (with Baselight 1 or newer). Working together with the Baselight team, we have been able to better optimize Neat Video for Baselight in general and to let Neat Video use the GPU of the node machine as well. However, on Baselight TWO and X, it could only use the host machine's CPU and GPUs, but not the GPUs of the node machine. Previously, the Neat Video 5 OFX plug-in was able to use all available CPU and GPU computing resources of Baselight ONE systems only. We're pleased to announce that the Neat Video 5 OFX plug-in optimized for Baselight is now available.Īs you know Baselight systems come in different modifications, including ONE, TWO, and X.
